Why use a VPN?

Private Internet Access VPN

Once I went down the data hoarder rabbit hole, research showed me that I really should use a VPN while online, for numerous reasons.

5 Popular Reasons for Using a VPN:

  1. VPNs can offer Safety and Security
  2. VPNs can give you (Some) Anonymity
  3. VPNs allow you to Break Geo-Restrictions
  4. VPNs can give you subsidized shopping and traveling
  5. Improve cybersecurity with a VPN
At some point, I decided on Private Internet Access (PIA). They have many servers to choose from, all around the world. Usually the lower latency servers work the best, as they are not sending data as far as other servers and back. Their prices are excellent, with monthly, up to multiple year payment options.

Of course there are many others, like NORD and Express who offer quality VPN services. Doing due diligence and research is the best course of action. I know PIA has yet to let me down.

Here is a short (6m) video on why you should use a VPN.

At the end of the day, you definitely want to ask yourself, is the cost worth the peace of mind that you will have with the VPN? For me, it certainly has been.

If you do decide to signup at PIA, we would both get a free month of service. It's a win-win.
